Sticky Strip
I got this idea from Roxy who did a great Tutorial for this cute little book for Splitcoast it can be seen here. Check out her blog is great too!
Step 1
Score your 4 3/4" x 9 1/4" piece of card stock at 1" and 2" length wise
Step 2
Fold your card stock over at the 2" score mark. This will form the spine of your book.
Step 3
Apply Sticky Strip to the end of the front panel. Attach front panel to spin like so....
Step 4
Adhere the 6 1/4" x 4 3/4" piece of card stock (your front cover) to the exposed Sticky Strip.
Step 5
Peel the plastic lining of your clear envelope seal, line the envelope up with the back of your book and tape down. Layer all envelopes on top of each other. Use as many envelopes as you would like pictures in your book . The envelopes will be your page protectors for your photos.
Step 6
Use your hole punch to make holes for your brads. You can use your thumb as a ruler on both ends Learned this trick from Roxy or just measure or eyeball about and 1' or so in from the end. The punch will go through both all the card stock and envelopes with no problem
Step 7
Attach your brads.
Step 8
Decorate the front of the book. I used the Enjoy Every Moment stamp set as well as Flower Fusion atttached with a brad to the center of the image , and cutie Pie DSP. I also stamped on double stitch ribbon with Staz-on and added a build a brad. Basic instructions are shown here:
Build a Brad- Stamp small image punch it out with the 1/2' circle punch adhere to brad with glue dot or other adhesive and then apply bubble on top.
Viola finished product! Isn't it so cute! A great idea for a shower gift! You could pre make grandma brag books for the mommy to be! Well I hope you enjoyed the tutorial and will give it a try!
