This is a card that I made for my SIL for her Bridal Shower. I folded the dress with some help from a few samples off Splitcoast. I free hand cut the top of the dress and added dew drops made from crystal effects and reinker, Heather summers has a great tutorial on her blog on how to make these. The Belt Buckle is from the Hodgepodge out of the MINI which is expiring tonight! I also used my cuttlebug for the embossed swirls and then I sponged over it with ruby red ink to add some dimension! I am loving sewing on cards! I just did it for the first time because of a challenge from got sketch 101 and its awesome and looks great! Abby gave this card to her teacher this year and a thank-you with her gift for being such an awesome kindergarten teacher! Oh how they grow so fast.. so sad!

My First Paper Bag Scrapbook! SO CUte!

This is a memory book that I made for my SIL's shower on Sunday. I like the idea of a guest book but I find that you just stick them in a box and never look at them for years and years. So I thought why not make it a scrapbook of sorts. The perfect time to try one of those paper bag scrapbooks that I have seen around. The pullout pages were used for people to write messages to the bride to be and the blank pages are for adding pictures from the shower later on. The shower was a Hollywood theme so we had a red carpet with a walk of fame film strips and stars everywhere!! It was really fun. Check out my photography blog for lots of pictures and the finer details of the shower! I am really proud of how they turned out. I love when you have an awesomely creative day where everything just flows nothing is hard.. it all just comes to you! Sunday was one of those days. I made this scrapbook in the am and photographed all day and hardly deleted a shot from the day! A real accomplishment for me. the picture at the top of this post is a hint for tomorrow's post. One a family note! Abby graduated Kindergarten today. :( She is getting so big. I will post a picture later on. ta ta for now!

Teacher THank-you GIfts

Good afternoon! These are a couple of Thank-you gifts that I made for Abby's Teacher and principal. I got the frames at dollaramma so these ended up being a really affordable gift! Which is great. I figured that they could leave them in there offices or on there desks. I can't imagine what teachers do with all the #1 Teacher mugs and Trinkets they get over the years, so I always try to do something that they can use at school or food! HEHE Food Is always a great Idea! Anyways I hope you are having a great day! I am a little down today.. My brother is going away to get married on Saturday and I am unable to join the family.. My brother and I have always been very close so its hard for me to think that I won't be there on his wedding day. It really hit me at my new SIL to Be's shower on Sunday.. with all the excitement about the trip i finally realizes that I wasn't going to be able to go and it made me really sad. Anyways enough with that.. I am going to go and cuddle my kids and watch a few Disney movies that always puts a smile on my face!

Well it has been a crazy few weeks around here sorry I haven't been posting as much. I have lots of projects to share just haven't had time to share them.. With photography and my brothers wedding Stampers clubs and all the joys of summer beginning.. field Trips and t ball we have been.. well I have been stretching myself a little to thin. I need a vacation LOL! I am also getting ready for the upcoming artisan craft Fair on the Sears Patio in chatham I will be there July 5th and August 2nd from 9-2. Should be fun but I am busy creating projects for that! SO anyways onto the exciting news.!!!

Just another way that stampin up if feeding our creativity. Just a tease this awesome product is like wall clingers/rubons.... THey are going to be available in Kraft chocolate chip and white! ooooo.. I am soo excited, just when I have been thinking about redoing the kids bedrooms!

Simply Scrappin

This is another layout from the online class I am taking. I love the Stampin Up Simply Scrappin Kits SOOO much! I am getting alot of scrappin done and I love it! I have really enjoyed getting caught up!! I am thinking about having a day where anyone can come over and to my craft space and hang out and scrap. Maybe for the new Escape promotion from stampin up! Which is basically getting back in touch with creating! NO more email no more digi scrapbooking, Just sitting down enjoying friends, talking and creating! Got Sketch 101 Challenge #3

This is another one of my finished projects from the latest awesome sketch 101 challenge. This was a make and take designed by the one and only...our one and only..... Heather Summers! I am having alot of fun with this class and getting alot of scrapbooking done! Its great! Classes officially start on June 10th! All these other projects are just extra for fun!

This is a home decor project that can be hung on the wall or set up in a plate stand. Or it can be mounted to a 12x12 sheet of scrapbooking paper and used as a layout!

I hope you are enjoying this sweltering weekend! Just the beginning to the worst part of summer! Heat!... even worse in Ontario it is always hot and humid! Well at least it gives me a reason to head to the beach!

THank-You Card

This is the card I made to Thank John Lyons for letting me be his shadow on Saturday! It was hard. I hate making cards for men! We really need to write SU and tell them that we need more manly stamps like geometric shapes and cool designs not just fish and trees. Anyways that's just my two cents. What do you think is it masculine enough?

I got my basic idea from her! With my crazy weekend I was crunched for time and I was feeling a scrapbooking block so I needed a little help this week!

Spring Stamp a Stack Finished Projects

These are the finished projects from my Stamp a Stack on Saturday! The first card is a shaker card cased from Heather Summers and the cutie lunch bag was cased from a swap from Roxy. Thanks for the inspiration ladies! We had lots of fun chatting and making our projects.

Stamping usually relaxes me but I could barley concentrate because I was going to photograph a wedding later that afternoon with the one and only John Lyons.! One of my photography idols! Hopefully I wasn't to off in space for all you wonderful ladies! If I was ... thanks for understanding if I let my nerves get the better of me!! After I took a few deep breaths in a paper bag! LOL ( not really but close!) It didn't take me long to see I had nothing to be scared of! John was a down to earth guy and a great teacher. It was such an awesome experience seeing the master at work. I can't wait for the possibility to shoot with him again I learned more then I could process! I spent most of this morning taking down notes of everything that I could remember! HE HE Truly a great experience. I will post a couple of the images I shot guided by his awesomeness soon!!
