Pretty in Pink
I have been creating a few Christmas cards to get ready for the season and to play with my stamps and I have been using alot of pink and reds. Christmas ans Pink two of my favorite things combined. I think that this unusual combo makes for some really beautiful cards. Sometimes thinking out side the box gets the best results! Here are a few examples that I made using the Merry and Bright stamp set from the Holiday Mini. This is also an example of how the same layout can come out with very different cards.
Cased Revision
I absolutely love love love swapping! It is so fun to see how everyone uses there stamps , colour combos and accessories to create such different projects. The Apricot card is a card that I received in a swap and I just fell involve with it. It was made by S Pilon.. Sorry That's all it says on the back. SO I decided that I wanted to re-create the card or CASE it (Copy and Share Everything) but with my own twist. This is just one example how that an idea from someone else's work can always become your own.
The original card used the Priceless Stamp set Apricot appeal ribbon ink and card stock as well as pumpkin pie ink and cs , chocolate chip ink and cs and silver brads coloured with Brown staz-on.
For mine I used the Seasons of Joy from the Holiday mine and Pink! I am loving the pink combos for Christmas. I used rose red paper and ink ,pretty in Pink paper and ink, very vanilla paper , red gingham ribbon and a pink brad. I hope you like them!
Presenting... My Craft Room!!!!

Well it is pretty much done! We tiled over my brick fireplace which I swore I would never do but it was painted and not pretty so I fought to keep my 100 year old mantle that Matt wanted to change! I think that the slate turned out beautifully though!! Just a few finishing touches need to be done here and there. I still want a few shelves for my ink pads and stuff and I need to find stools that are the right height to sit comfortably. I like to stand when I create but for classes I need some stools. Anyhoo. I am already thinking that I may want to paint again maybe purple. (as Matt gives me an evil Glare!) I hate painting and always make him finish after I get fed up with my little projects! Enjoy. The best part is that these pictures were only taken a few days after we finished and my table was already covered!! LOL.

Sympathy Cards
I have such a hard time making masculine and sympathy cards. A Friend asked me to make her a mix of cards and of course I let the Sympathy to last. I don't quite know whats so hard about them but I find that I don't want to make them to bland and depressing but I also don't want to make them too flashy either! This is what i came up with.

For this card I used Basic Black and Whisper White Cs. Using the Motifs Stamp set I first stamped with Basic Grey I stamped the same image again only this time using versa mark and embossing it with Silver embossing powder. I finished it off with a white Organza Bow!

I Love how this one turned out! It was mt favorite creation of the day! I used Always Artichoke,Barely banana river rock and Very Vanilla cs and a piece of Motifs Designer Paper. I love the Simplicity of the Oh SO Lovely Hostess set. I added colour with my Aqua Painter and finished the card off with three brown eyelets and a piece of thin burgundy organza ribbon.
Fall! My Favorite!

Anyone who knows me knows that Fall is my favorite time of the year!!! I love pumpkins and cornstalks all the fabulous colours.! If you have seen the inside of my house you know just how much! Anyways here is a fabulous little card that I cased from my Up line Lisa Burns! It is soo cute. I used the three for you punch to make the wreath, twine and my corner rounder! Any combination of fall colours looks great. Or you could change it up and make a spring or summer wreath! Thanks Lisa.

Playing WIth Watercolour!
I have been trying to get started on some Christmas cards to show everyone and to get our ideas flowing!! What is everyone interested in with regards to Christmas? DO you want to participate in a Stamp-A-Stack where you come and make a bunch of cards for one set fee or would you rather a few classes showcasing different techniques? Let me know your thoughts so that I can prepare my Fall-Winter Class Schedule. I am heading back to work on Tuesday so I need to be a little more ahead of the game an organized as Christmas is a crazy time for me so don't surprised to hear a bout Christmas classes etc starting soon. I know it made me sick too! Christmas Gross but theres only 129 sleeps til Jolly Old St. Nic climbs down the chimney! And it will fly by.

Here's an example of a Christmas card I was playing with. If I could do it over I would probably add some more trees to the background or the dog from the matching wheel chasing the truck or something. But I still Think it turned out cute in the end.
