Card Organizer

This organizer was demoed at one of my Up line meetings recently and I have been meaning to recreate it ever since! I have added a bit of flare to mine and I loved it! I entered it in a 3-d item contest last night at my Stampin' Up! Meeting! I didn't win unfortunately. There was some really awesome stuff there and I got alot of ideas!

This is the cover! I used Happy everything Stamp set and Ginormous Flowers set as well as ribbon the new Brocade Designer Paper old olive, very vanilla and close to cocoa Cs. I finished it off with a rhinestone brad in the centre of the flowers for some BLING!

Inside you have your pockets for cards and a tab on each section to label with different occasions. I attached a clear envelope to the inside of the front cover to hold a list of birthdays anniversary's etc. You can take the list out and change it every year or add anything or anyone that you forgot.

Viola!

mmmmmmm....chocolate

MMMMM... Here's some yummy things that we made at our Au Chocolate paper class at the end of June! I was so happy to see a version of this paper in the new Fall/Winter 2007 Collection. I find it so versatile and great for masculine cards.

Fancy Fold Card Tutorial

Supplies

Card stock (2 Colours plus 1 neutral)

Jumbo Roller (All About Birthdays Included in All About Occasions Hostess Bundle)

Adhesive

Two Way Glue Pen

Micro beads

In the Spotlight (New hostess Stamp set)

Ribbon

Stampin dimensional

Start with a standard piece of card stock 5.5' x 8.5' and then score at 4.25'

Score again at 2 1/8' crease fold with bone folder to make the front lay flat.

Cut four pieces of designer paper 2' x 2.5'. use adhesive to attach them in any pattern you wish.

Use Jumbo Roller and roll greeting onto the inside of the card. Roll only once against the inside fold of the card.

Stamp Images on neutrals CS with co-ordinating ink. Punch out small flower with small circle punch. Cut large image (your focal point) in a 2' x 2' square. Use two way Glue Pen and cover the stamped area of large flower leaving the center and edges clean (glue where there is colour). Cover with Micorbeads over Powder Pal. It may be easier to hold card stock with tweezers or tongs while applying beads and to dump excess into tray.

Drag edges of focal point over an ink pad or use a stampin sponge dabbed in ink to edge the neutral cardstock to make it pop.

Mount Focal point on a 2.5' x 2.5' piece of coloured CS. Now add a stampin dimensional to the back of the small flower centre that you punched out and place it in the center of you focal flower. Then place two more stampin dimensionals to the back left side of the coloured cs only on the left side so that the card can fold open.

Using a glue dot secure a length of ribbon to the front centre of the left fold close to the fold. Then attach focal point over ribbon in the centre of the card. Wrap the ribbon around the back and tie a small simple bow on the right side of the focal point.

Viola! Fancy Fold Card

A card from my heart

I made this card to give to my father that I haven't spoken too in almost 2 years, hoping to rekindle some sort of relationship or at least to give him one more chance. I am good at the that. I am the lady of a thousand chances.
If nothing else I got to try out Alesha's add some Bling to your brads technique and thats a darn cute picture of me! LOL

Play Day

As you can see I stamped alot today! Well I just had to play with all my new stuff after Christmas came early... Santa was driving a brown truck and dropped off all my new catty preorder supplies!

This card is a case off Splitcoast Stampers I loved the colours I just had to recreate it!

Abby My little Protege

Today Abby and I sat down and made a card for her friends birthday party tomorrow. She picked out the paper and I matched the card stock. Then she picked her stamp and wanted a blue butterfly with sparkles and this is what we came up with.

First we stamped the butterfly onto a piece of glossy card stock with versa mark we then used the brayer and tempting turquoise ink to make the butterfly pop. After it dried we stamped the whole square in versa mark and then added iridescent ice embossing powder and heated it to get the shimmery effect. Her eyes were really wide and happy when she saw it. She smiled and said "oh look at it sparkle Mommy!"

I let her go nuts on the inside and I think that she did a great job she even used my paper trimmer all by herself. Also commenting that she thought it needed some red! Hence the red butterfly.

I was so proud! A future Rubba Luvva!

Pocket Card

I made this card this afternoon its called a pocket card. I made mine for a gift card but you could also leave the insert without the slits and write your message there.

First I cut a 8.5 x 11 piece of Purely pomegranate Card stock in half (standard card)

Then I scored it at 2" and 6" horizontally

Fold on score lines (the larger fold should be on top). You can tear the edge if you like to add a little texture I always love to do this.

One the bottom fold I added a 5"x2" piece of Rose red Prints Designer paper and then attached two brads to secure the pocket.

The insert is made from a 4.75" x 4" piece of Blush Blossom card stock. I stamped the message with the NEW holiday and Wishes stamp set and the swirl is from Delight in Life a Sellebration set. I used the Slit punch to create tabs to hold a gift card.

Next I cut a small freehand tag and stamped it with a message from the vases in vogue hostess set from the new catty.
I stamped the top fold of the card with the itty bitty backgrounds Stamp set.

Then I made a center for my flower with the pick a petal set cut it out and added some glitter by using the two way glue pen and sprinkling glitter over the glue. I let it dry and tapped off the excess into my small powder pal. I attacked a small rhinestone brad from the fire collection of circle brads.

On to the flower. I feel like I am rambling. I have never done this before. Nevertheless ...... I punched out 10 petals using the large oval Punch with whisper white cards stock. I edged them with a stampin sponge and the New River Rock Stampad. Simply dap the sponge onto the ink pad and drag the sponge over the edges of the petal until you get the desired effect. Place a stampin dimensional on the back of each petal at the bottom and place them on the card in a circular pattern.

Finally placed the flower center in the center of the flower(of all places:)) and Voila.
